Plush gets plusher when the new Glycerin® 7 hits the ground?running, of course. With two layers of MoGo stacked in the heel and shock-dampening e1 material sandwiched between, the Glycerin® 7 is already a luxuriously cushioned ride. Add to that a layer of tuned MoGo for extra softness and resilience in the forefoot, and this high-end neutral shoe takes home the plush prize.
? Rearfoot HydroFlow® ST-XL ? Forefoot HydroFlow® ? Full-length BioMoGo ? e1 Rearfoot Polymer ? Dual-density DRB® Accel ? Full-length S-257 Cushsole ? Universal Sprung Platform
HYDROFLOW® | Dynamic viscous fluid units for heel and forefoot enhance midsole cushioning?attenuating shock with industryleading dampening and comfort.
BIOMOGO | We?ve taken the long-lasting cushioning of our MoGo midsole and made it environmentally friendly. How, you ask? By adding a non-toxic, natural additive to the MoGo compound that encourages anaerobic microbes to munch away once it hits the landfill.
e1 | Midsole/outsole compound works in conjunction with HydroFlow® and MoGo to progressively dampen the forces of energy that occur during the contact phase.
DRB® ACCEL | Enhances tunable torsion of the midfoot. Shank-like thermoplastic devices vary from single units of a set modulus, to dual-unit versions of varied modulus (tuned with higher stiffness for medial support, the lateral side less stiff to smooth the ride).
S-257 CUSHSOLE | Durable, energy-efficient midsole compound utilized as an insole board for even more cushioning and flexibility.
? HPR Plus ? Forefoot Cush Pod Construction ? Flexalon Rubber Forefoot
HPR PLUS | A higher durability, abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that wears longer. ENGINEERED CUSH POD CONFIGURATION | Midsole and outsole components are engineered to set the foot in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering maximum cushioning and flexibility.
? Ortholite Sockliner ? Moisture-managing Element Mesh ? Microfiber Overlay Materials ? Synthetic Overlay Materials ? Moisture-managing Element Linings
ELEMENT | Upper technology featuring superior microfiber construction to provide weather protection in a light, supple, quiet fabric that doesn?t sacrifice breathability, durability, or comfort.

Running shoe experience is always a very personal thing, the aim when shopping is to find an ideal shoe for your own running style. So, for reference I'm 6'2", weigh around 220lbs/100kg and have a neutral gait. My feet are fairly big (size 10.5), not overly wide, and while I don't have flat feet my arch is relatively low, a common trait in people with big feet like me. I bought the shoe as I have a long and happy history with Brooks trainers, they seem to fit my foot shape very well since my first pair of Brooks Argent more than a decade ago. On the reviews and information I could find on-line, this looked like the ideal shoe for me - although I don't hit the ground as hard as I used to, I'm still quite heavy and really appreciate the impact cushioning when I am pushing up the mileage. Unfortunately, this shoe really was not the right one for me. First, I may not actually be heavy enough (or enough of a grinder) for the Hydroflow to really "give" when my heel strikes the ground. Certainly it's no better impact resistance when new than I'm getting from my badly worn old pair of Saucony Myths. The heel feels "flatter" than I like, and wearing them I tend to strike the ground closer to flat than heel first. While that sounds like a good thing, it isn't the way I'm comfortable running, and results in feeling the impact on the ball of my foot. The ball is very high on this shoe, and is the thing I notice most when running. It means that my toes feel less involved in the whole running process, which reduces the feel of control when launching off each stride. As stated at the start, these are all personal things for my feet and my running style. I've gone back to a pair of Dyad 6's, which cope better with my flatter foot and have a much more cushioned heel. But if you are a neutral runner (don't over or under pronate too much), are closer to a "natural" barefoot running style, e.g. running on the ball of the foot, are an unrepentant grinder or larger than I am, or you are suffering from too much stress on your toes while running, these may be perfect for you.
